\"\"The River Weaver Navigation Society Annual General Meeting\u00a0 will take place on Thursday 3 April 2025, starting at 7.30pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a break from recent tradition, it will be held at Hazel Pear Pub<\/strong>, 1 Hill Top Road, Acton Bridge, Northwich,\u00a0 CW8 3RA. Our meeting will be in their Upper Room.<\/p>\n

This will be followed by a talk on the 150 year Celebrations of the Anderton Boat Lift.<\/p>\n

Our guest speaker will be Ani Sutton, of Canal and River Trust, who will give us details on the many events planned to celebrate 150 years since the opening of the Lift.<\/p>\n

This will comprise a theme of Victoriana and steam starting in May this year and throughout the Summer.<\/p>\n

Ani will also update us on the major site revamp and key maintenance activities required on the Lift during 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
