The Canal and River Trust (CRT) has arranged a free “stunning steam spectacular” 10am-10pm on 11 and 12 May at Anderton Boat Lift.
There will be traction engines ashore and a flotilla of vintage steamboats, plus steam in action with the Cheshire Live Steamers miniature engines and children’s activities all weekend.
A Real Ale Festival will take place all weekend hosted by the 1903 steamship The Daniel Adamson.
CRT are offering a behind-the-scenes ‘Walking the Lift’ Tour.
Hot and cold food & BBQ will be available all weekend together with licensed bars and craft beers.
